Our firstborn son
Ethan
turned three years old on June 24th. Three years has gone fast but we are delighted to see how Ethan is growing up. There are so many things we appreciate about Ethan:
His intensity about life and everything he does, yet his prudence.
His excitement about God's word and being a servant.
His compassionate heart toward the sick, hurting, and little ones (still working on gentleness with Sam sometimes though- sometimes intensity wins out).
His excitement about his friends.
His daily reminders, "you must obey God." And "no frowney eyes, BIG eyes."
His shyness that keeps him snuggling mamma.
Here is Ethan about to enjoy some sweet cars birthday cake: made by Steve and me.
Excited about 3!
Good ideas Steve!
Getting a bit big this year for the sandbox. But still content!
Every time we have green beans this occurs; and we all participate! Shhh don't tell!
(Don't worry, we teach him manners too)
Ethan really enjoys working out with us. He seriously does pushups and runs quite a bit and even "speaks workout language."
He's a great encourager too when I'm about to pass out in the heat.
Third birthday fun with Uncle Gabe!
Perhaps too much fun!?
Ethan really enjoys his cousin Avalyn! They enjoy each other and laugh A LOT!
My sweet Ethan we love you! Your third birthday was precious and you even let us sing Happy birthday (quietly) without being sad.
We are thankful for you Ethan!
"HE settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD."
Psalm 113:9
(Ethan, you brought about the truth of this for me. Praise the LORD.)
