Happy Birthday Ana!!

Happy Birthday to Ana Armando Machamba!
She turns 11 years old today!
Ana is from Mozambique, Africa (southeastern Africa)
I first began sponsoring Ana about 6 years ago when World Vision representatives came to our church and tried to advocate for the millions of children around the world who live on less then $1 a day.
We have continued to send Ana greeting cards for the holidays and her birthday, and occasionally receive an updated picture of her.
It's been a good thing for our family to step out in faith and trust God with something that often seems so small.
One day, perhaps, we will get to meet Ana! If not in this life, than prayerfully in heaven with our Lord and Savior!

Acts 17:26-27
"From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ANA!!

Thoughts for the day...

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--"  Ephesians 1:3-5

My two wonderful boys!

February snow day!

A couple of days later...

shooting hoops in style! Steve made a homemade basketball hoop!
I am so thankful he is creative!

A sophisticated conversation and...

a smile that I love!
