On May 8th, Steve and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary!
3 Most Wonderful Years!
We began the evening by renting a pedal boat at Gray's Lake. Then we went mini-golfing and played Skii Ball. Steve won mini-golf, but I won a sucker playing skii ball!
On our way back from mini-golf, we decided to see if we could get into an Iowa Cubs game for free, since it was the 6th inning. A man on his way out gave us 1 good ticket, and we got it exchanged for 2 tickets. So we DID get to see the game for free! We ate nachos, shared a Coke, and had our names, and that we were celebrating our 3rd anniversary, announced over the loud speaker; we have a friend who works there!
The Cubs lost but we cheered for them anyway.
The last player up to bat struck out; he had 5 strike outs that game! Wow!
After the game, we headed for a late night dinner at Perkins; the place where we often ate when we were dating.
It was a most wonderful evening full of fun, spontaneity, and laughs.
We even had an outfit change in the middle of the evening after mini-golf! HA
I LOVE YOU STEVIE B!
Thank you for being a most excellent husband, leader, and friend!
A handful of days later, we celebrated Mother's Day with this cute little one:
silly boy!
Ethan playing with a straw!
On Mother's Day we dedicated Ethan to the Lord; much like Hannah, from the bible, dedicated Samuel in the book of 1 Samuel.
We will trust God to give us grace and wisdom in raising Ethan to be a man after God's own heart!
As we seek Him daily ourselves, we look forward to seeing what God will do in and through Ethan's life!
Ethan decided to do some posing for me as well!
His model face! Sorry Ethan, for your own good you may NOT be a model!
You are super handsome and cute though!
"How is this mom?"
A bit overboard on the posing Ethan! HA
"Ok, I will just be me and smile...
and laugh...
and scrunch my face...
modeling makes me tired."
Ethan is also a really great crawler!
I suppose he crawls best with his mouth open! Silly boy!
He also likes to crawl on me; knocking me down mid-vacuuming! j/k
You are almost there buddy!
Ethan always loves to play with his dad!
And have his dad put him to bed, too!
Ethan is getting sooo big!
Ethan still likes camo and the hawkeyes!
It's as though he is a true IOWAN; country boy in the city!
Ethan's eyes are still blue/hazel-ish. So awesome! He may very well be our only child with this colored eyes since Steve and I both have brown eyes! HA
Mother's day was perfect!
Here is the little boy we rejoice over and praise God for;
We love you Ethan Riley!
Praise God!
